We desire that Every Student in Chi Alpha would GO on a cross-cultural mission trip before they graduate. We also want to see students give a year and pray about a lifetime!

Past trips
Youngstown Area 2026For our first annual Youngstown missions trip, we had such a blast spending time and volunteering within our own community and learning about how we can love beyond our walls at YSU and bring our city to know the love of Jesus! We spent time at a variety of locations such as blue coats doing inventory, veterans outreach, Heartreach neighborhood ministries helping out with the after school program, City Reach Church in Akron, and more.

LA Dream Center 2025What an incredible week once again serving with the Los Angeles Dream Center! This year we got to serve in food truck ministry, bagging and giving out produce and other items, help serve those affected by the fires from earlier this year, build relationships and pray with others in various areas and give out groceries, help in the Dream Center kitchen, and more! We are excited to see how God uses the experiences of this week, and our opened eyes to bring opportunities to lead our campus to Jesus!

Costa Rica 2025This was our third trip to Costa Rica. Our students did an incredible job ministering to the Costa Rican people as they shared testimonies, served food during a leadership training seminar, and visited families in their homes all while enduring hot weather, crazy terrain and heavy rainfall.

Thailand 2026We got the privilege to spend the first two weeks of our summer over in Thailand, working with missionaries and Thai pastors. With the Change the Map team, we learned a lot about the Buddhist culture and ways to pray for the Thai people. We helped clean up and paint two established churches, and got to spend some time connecting with Myanmar students. The experiences we had opened our hearts for the people of Thailand and the Buddhist world.
